Garden changes

Good to see the plants I bought a few weeks ago seem happy where they're planted! I added some more today and it's raining tonight so.....here's hoping this is just what they needed.
We have a large circle in our drive which has been 'overgrowing' for too many years and this year we've had quite a clear out, lots of Lady's Mantle with horrid big roots gone.... and lots of compost, some from aged grass cuttings and some from the garden centre to provide the nutrients needed.
We did leave the centre ones ....buddleia, pieris, rhododendron and some wild geranium which is pretty and easily managed, and I've added anemones, viola, lavender and lots of bulbs. So time will tell how happily they can co-exist. Pretty at the moment.
Three good things
1. Time to catch up....I've had some time off work as exhaustion and sad events were rather overwhelming but now on the mend and tomorrow I'm back to work.
2. Allan got his mum safely home to Glasgow.....now I'm waiting for him to get home here.
3. Good session at Pilates. I always feel better after it even if I'm sometimes reluctant to go out especially on dark evenings.
Looks lovely rich soil Sally. This will be a pretty flower bed in your drive.
