Just catching up ......this was the evening light when David Allan and I went for a sail in a felucca, a traditional wooden sailing boat. I have mixed feelings about boats, but this was lovely......gentle sail across the River Nile as the sun sank and lovely to watch other boats and get a different perspective on the city.
Three good things
1. We were allowed to have wine with us on the boat but not ashore!!
2. A lovely meal afterwards at a Grand Cafe.
3. A visit to the Old Market with one of their Egyptian friends and some bargains purchased!
