Being such a poppy lover I get some beautiful gifts from family and friends. This was a birthday one and it has only been lit once before. Rather enjoying the warm glow as outside is pretty miserable.....wet, windy and very chilly.
Three good things
1. Stayed indoors today....tickle in throat that I definitely don't want to play with.
2. Lovely Skype call to Melbourne and catch up with Laura.
3.Long phone chat with a friend.
.....that kind of day.
That is beautiful but I’m glad to see you burning it. I just threw away several candles I had refused to burn for almost thirty years, and now realized were sun faded, dusty and misshapen.
Beautiful light showing every detail of that lovely Poppy. I love candles in the winter, seems to suit the cold weather somehow. Glad tpyou enjoyed your day in. I only nipped out quickly to get the washing in & take a quick hen photo. Hope your throat isn't the start of a cold!
