the remains of the day.....last day of the year by sarah19

the remains of the day.....last day of the year

So here we are.....the last of the snow washed away more or less by the rain last night and not too much ice on the drive.
And the light was lovely as the sun came round to the back garden just before it set at 3.30pm.
Three good things
1. Good to feel thankful for so much in the past year even though it had sad moments, but God is gracious and we have been surrounded by care.
2. Quiet day - church.....reviewing the year in my photo folders and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and leftover goodies!
3. Lovely invitation to lunch tomorrow so I think I'll be off to bed soon!! Thank you for all your lovely comments in 2017 and Happy New Year to you all!!
sounds like you had a beautiful day for the last day of the year. I too went to church.& this morning I went with a group of friends down to the beach at 4-30am to witness the sunrise at 5am followed by a praise God time & prayer & then a wonderful breakfast. In Queensland Australia, its summer & 8am already nearing 30deg cel & very humid!!

@777margo How lovely. So different when you are in a sunny part of the world......perhaps one year I will have an Australian Christmas and New Year as my daughter is married in Melbourne!
