It's hard sometimes to come home from playing on the Steinway grand at the school to practice on my digital Roland. But this piano and I have been through a lot together in the past 16 years: I've practiced the music for countless weddings, services, shows and concerts on it. It's made joyful noises under the clumsy fingers of my toddlers. It's seen my daughters through their beginner piano lessons, and hopefully someday my son.
Plus, there's something to be said for a piano you can plug headphones into...
