Christmas Gifts, Part 1

I spent most of Matthew's nap times in November and December (along with after all the kid's bedtimes and even after my bedtime as Christmas got closer!) making some things for my children this year. First up, for my oldest: a sleeper sofa & chair, an end table, a couple of throw pillows, a small granny square afghan and a trendy outfit for her dolls. Can you guess that her favorite color is purple??

These projects involved PVC pipe, adhesives, spray paint, power tools and more, which were definitely a stretch for my skills. In retrospect, the fiddly sewing to make tri-fold zippered cushions and weaving in all of the granny square ends was the easy bit!

(Carolyn would like you to know that these are shown with the wrong doll - I didn't want to explain why all the dolls had moved while everyone was in school, and one is easier to explain away than three. :) )
What lucky girls to have such a talented mother.
