Two of my favorite bad habits in one - coffee in a mug that is textured to look like knitting. I was going for rule of thirds and leading lines in this one.
I took this with the in-camera monochrome setting as part of Flash of Red February. I wish I could have the camera capture it in color at the same time - I would have definitely changed some of the color mix in lightroom. Maybe I should dig out my ancient film-era color filters if I'm going to shoot monochrome...wonder if they fit my current batch of prime lenses?
@tracys Thanks! I don't do it often, but I do love a good black & white conversion, so I don't really miss the color...but I'm so used to doing it in post processing I miss the control I have over each color "filter". It will be an interesting exercise, though, shooting in monochrome for this week. I do love how black & white tends to make things like texture stand out more. :)
