Jesse Owens

Whilst we were in Berlin we took a trip out to the Olympic Stadium. You can see my other shots here.

Right next to the Olympic Flame is this memorial to the gold medal winners at the 1936 Olympic Games. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up to see the name Owens at the top. It brings home to you that history was made in the stadium, and that Owens name will live forever here.
