Thank you for the feedback on my London shots posted earlier, I really appreciate the great comments, you lovely people!
I am keen to get back to taking a shot a day this year to feature in one of my albums, but to achieve that I will need to flex what I do and not put too much pressure on myself to knock out something that will meet with rave reviews.
This shot combines two ideas that I have to achieve my objective. The first is to take shot saround the back streets of the Loughborough area that concntrate more on form, composition and structure, as they are likely to be mundane. The second is to have at least one day a week where I only take one shot.
So, today I give you the wall outside the Go Outdoors store in Loughborough, where they have a sale on, mundane, but my only shot of the day!!
I just bagged me a couple of bargains in the microfleece and walking trousers departments, and Rebecca picked up several very stylish additions to her wardrobe. I can spend hundreds of pounds on clothes and look a tramp, Rebecca looks a million dollars with a couple of £10 tops and hats!!
Got to dash, we're off to see American Hustle at the pictures. I'm looking forward to this one. If anyone has seen Walter Mitty, I would appreciate a review, I want to see it but no-one else does!!
I love your commentary and I hope you do go back to one a day project. More often I had to take pictures of our dogs or the jewelry I had on just for the sake of taking a picture a day. Not exciting or inspirational when trying to balance work, home, and a project, but I'm glad I did it.
With a new camera I'm going to do the 365 again, I know by years end I will feel better about my skills.
I saw Walter Mitty and loved it, nice message and amazing scenery.
Awesome capture, looks great in b&w, I think one gets more detail for some reason. I saw Walter Mitty this past Sat. I really liked it, wonderful scenery shots in the movie. It's a bit on the funny side and a person goes on a wonderful adventure with Mitty. The scenes in his travels are stunning.
This is very eye-catching! I like the symmetry, composition and the different textures. I also like the idea of showcasing the mundane in a way that is interesting and you did it well here. And wow, good on you for committing to one day where you take only one shot. I've thought abut doing that because I thought it would make me more mindful of what I am doing but I seriously don't think I could do it at this point. Oh, fav, BTW. :)
I like the geometry in this, I find structure and shape to be endless sources of interest and I'm looking forward very much to seeing what else you come up with.
Glad to see you're back on the pic a day, Sean.
