Loughborough backstreets ~ 27 by seanoneill

Loughborough backstreets ~ 27

A view of the rear of the Market Street shops from the Carillon Shopping Centre car park.

Access was "your flexible friend" in the UK, a credit card that was available until 1996. How good that this sign still remains.

I thought about straightening the top of this shot, but decided to leave the bowing roof just as it is.

I remember the old access cards. In fact, my mum still says "Oooh, I must pay my access bill"!!

Sort of a modern "ghost sign" and a bit of commercial history.

Haven't seen an 'Access' logo for years!
Still see the Switch one around though.

Interesting to see how styles have changed, the writing on the Access sign looks so outdated. Well spotted Sean.

Had an access card once - took me ages to pay off a large purchase!!
I do like the brickwork in this shot - I have no idea which 'bond ' the pattern is!!
