I wanted a smaller point and shoot because I often carry a camera when I'm racing. When you're running several miles, it's helpful if the things in your pocket are as small and light as possible. This camera is more or less the same height and length as my older Nikon S560, but it's about half the width of that camera.
My daughter doesn't have a camera, so I'll give her my little pink S560, and I'll use this camera when I'm running around and need something as small and light as possible.
