OK - It's been three days in a row. And I don't have any intention in turning this into the Fly-a-Day Project. The long and short is that my husband is out of town, which leaves me off-center and uninspired. But even uninspired, I enjoy taking my macro lens outside and seeing whether I can find something interesting to shoot.
I wasn't happy with most of my shots this morning - I should know better than to shoot while the sun is so high in the sky. But I'm going to be busy later, and didn't want to leave the project shot until later in the day.
All that said, I'm reasonably happy with this shot - I think the fly looks pretty there on the leaf.
Some days I'm going to be more inspired than others. But I like the fact that my throwaway shots are improving; even on the meh days, I'm taking better shots than I did at the beginning of the year. The 365 Project is definitely reaping benefits.
Cool pics here. I found you by searching D7000, as I have one, and would love to see how others use the camera to try and be sure that I am using it to its full potential as well,
I'm a relative newbie to photography, but I'm working on improving. My hope is that pictures I was willing to settle for in January and February become totally unacceptable to me by October and November :)
Thank you Rebekah :)
Thank you Ian :)
Thanks Kerri and Glendq :)
They're all over my yard. They're pretty common flies, but without macro or some other way to magnify them you can't really see the colors.
Thanks Michelle :)
Thank you Warren!

BTW, I just started reading this book - http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-D7000-Digital-Field-Guide/dp/0470648643/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1310674357&sr=1-1 If you want to learn more about using the D7000 well, this is a great resource.
