As is current practice, we postponed our dog walk until late evening yesterday, following a route around the quarry edge, above the countryside, and catching a pleasant breeze. Most of the local canine population had the same idea, bringing their owners out for some exercise in the cooler part of the day, and it was very busy. Back to walking with two dogs today – yesterday German Shepherd Lesia was recovering from sedation after an investigation into a possible seedy ear, and so I just had Tia for company. She was not happy – this was the first time that she had been out without Lesia since she spotted us at the RSPCA and decided to adopt us. During the outward walk she kept standing still and looking over her shoulder, occasionally starting to head for home. She was relieved when we turned around and headed back.
