Welsh tulips (like English blooms, but wetter...) by shepherdman

Welsh tulips (like English blooms, but wetter...)

A tulip in the garden at the Welsh cottage where we are staying - thanks to the regular showers there are plenty of opportunities for water-shots-on-petals shots. For anyone unfamiliar with British weather, Wales is one of the places where water laden Atlantic westerly winds first make landfall, dumping the moisture as rain as they pass over. But we don’t mind – we have a cosy cottage to shelter in. Shame about the odour of wet dog fur though…
Great shot of a tulip. I live in Wales, and know all about our interesting weather!

I love the variegated petals. We are heading into winter and our rainy season although I'm not really looking forward to it!

Gorgeous!! The drops on the flower give the shot such a sense of emotion.

Try and get to Bodnant Gardens. Wonderful Laburnum Arch must be out now, and the Wisteria. I am enjoying your Welsh pics. Sorry about the weather!
