Swanwick Lakes, Northamptonshire (as opposed to Swanwick Lakes, Hampshire). We walked around some of the Lakes after a substantial and excellent pub lunch with my son and my father after a visit to my son’s new flat. My son and I together with the dogs strode ahead gossiping obliviously, not realising that we had left @shepherdmanswife and my father behind. You wouldn’t have thought that this was a problem since @shepherdmanswife was stopping frequently for photographic purposes and my father was taking his time because of a weak knee. However when I turned to point out the sun setting over a lake, I realised that they were no longer in sight and thought I’d better phone @shepherdmanswife. It is not appropriate to repeat was is said in a phone conversation between a man and his wife, but suffice to say that we did a prompt U-turn and found them both enjoying the sunset as we had, with @shepherdmanswife making use of a new lens where we had stopped to admire the view just a few minutes before.
