This chap is a regular at Hinckley Rugby Club, where @shepherdmanswife and I enjoyed a pre-match dinner a couple of weeks ago. I have photographed him before at a match – he is the sort of character that almost demands to be photographed, a classical elderly gentleman with cap and pipe. I find myself wondering about his history, wondering if he was once a rugby player. He has a style most appropriate for the occasion, and seems content with life, happy with who he is. Does anyone else people-watch, analysing the folk that pass before them?
I am always making up stories about the people I see. Why they are where they are, how they are related (if more than one), etc. I really like this thoughtful image.
