Harvest in Oil!

It was raining this morning when I dog walked so my camera stayed at home.
Instead of taking a piccy today I have played with this one that I took recently and have turned some of it into an oil painting.
Does it work? What do you think?

I think the "painting" effect is more apparent when this is viewed large. I really like the result!

I find this particular mix disorienting - the foreground and background say "painting" and the midground, if that's a word, is still sharp. I"d be happier with a more blurred painting effect that at first glance seemed to be just out of focus. You've got nice control of the effect - it must have taken great care not to get the grey part of the harvester included In the effect.
