Busy Bird......

collecting dog and cat fur that I've hung in a feeder to line her nest with. Ooh lovely and warm and soft. Great way to recycle and we have a never ending supply!
Wow he has a real mouthful.. We use to have a Mamera Sheep Dog .. long white hair.. and the birds just loved it ... all lovely fur lined nests... fav for this shot..

This is a brilliant idea! As I was posting my photo of the hummingbird nest that she's reusing for the second time this season, Ken read that it takes a week and "bazillion" trips to gather what she needs to build it! Next year I hope I can make her life a little easier, and I'll remember this good suggestion! The photo you got is awesome as well!

I love this capture - it's both funny and tender: Fav. When we had a long haired Norwegian Forest cat, Mrs S had her combings spun into yarn and she knitted a waistcoat from them.

I'm so glad this little bird is grateful for the gift! I put sheep's wool, which Ray brought home from a break in Wales, on the tree in the garden - but it's still there!
