Trundling down the Canal.....

We had a lovely day out on our friends narrow boat on Saturday. There were 11 of us so some had to walk whilst the others had a ride for a while, then swap over. It was fun going up and down the locks. Of course, there were many pubs along the way to chose from for lunch. No hassle parking a 50 foot boat at the side of the canal. easier than getting a car parking space!

Beautiful canal shot....you can feel the murkiness of the water. We have done a few of these in the swamps of Louisiana, and in Vietnam, and that diffused light through the vegetation always gives it a mysterious and eerie feeling as you glide through the still waters!
