Tiger Hunt Re-do by shesnapped

Tiger Hunt Re-do

Today I have turned down both the contrast and brightness on my computer screen while comparing the screen to my phone. I think I have them about as close as I can get them to matching. Lightroom still seems to show me a more vibrant picture than the internet, (have compared both 365 and Facebook), but hopefully now I can process more realistically.

I posted this shot last week to the 10/23/14 slot opening in my main album and was certainly disappointed when I looked at it on my phone. Even tho it was SOOC, it was still nicer on the computer than on the phone. So here she is again, this time with a little processing, no more than what I normally would do, and I'm hoping she comes out the same as what I see at the time of posting. I'll be anxious to know if she's less dark and more attractive and vibrant.

As always, critique requested!
I like the result! There is a nice transition from the dark to the left of the eye to the right.

I love this shot, the catchlight is perfect! He has that stalking kitten look on his face though! A better way of checking your highlights and your shadows is to use your histogram, or levels. if your image lacks light you can tell because the light end of the level graph will be flat, but if you pull the slider across it will add light mainly where its supposed to be. This isnt a half bad tutorial,, http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/levels.htm You are probably way past this though so ignore me if you are x I hate calibrating monitors, just a pure pain in the rear end!

I have this problem with light room and both Light room and the internet have brighter appearances then when I use my pictures on my desktop. I know some of the computer nerds could tell us why that is.

But I must say you have done a superb job with this one as it now appears on my laptop.

This shot is much lighter than the previous one and looks much nicer. I love the glint in the cats eye. Much more noticeable now. A great improvement. Well done with the calibrating.

Whatever you did with your screens, the lighting on the cat is wonderful. I love the way he is sitting in the shadows peering out curious and unafraid.
