This is not my photo! This is my mom's photo! Since moving to a new state last fall, she and Pop have tried a few new things in life, and one of the things she's been trying out is photography classes. She says she has really enjoyed taking the classes but doesn't feel like she necessarily has an artistic talent for it, the "eye" for it. In her classes they've worked on the mechanics of stopping motion, creating dof, etc, but she doesn't imagine that she could take beautiful pictures like so many photos she sees and admires.
Well, she and Pop are out here on the east coast for a couple weeks to attend the teenager's high school graduation next week and to meet their first great-grandbabies and also to visit with my brother's family who live a few hours up the road, and last night they stayed with us. She and I were planning to go have supper alone and talk for a while, and I got the brilliant idea to take her to Blackwater, where she's never visited before, and take a picnic and the camera for sunset. I played the role of chauffeur, and she played the role of Camera Woman. Turns out she's QUITE the shutterbug!!! She took more than 500 photos and ROCKED this heron!!! I totally disagree that she can't develop an eye for this! And she had a blast! We both did! And I loved introducing her to a new aspect of photography.
Fabulous shot, Your Mum definitely has an eye for photography and congratulations on the TP and PP. You will have to get her to join 365.
I am on catch up tonight after being out of action, so may not get to comment on all the photos I have missed.
