Working on the theme of New Beginnings with a sweet 365 friend. The theme has so many meanings for me right now. The new year, obviously, the new working situation which is still evolving, and a new beginning with God as He has been pursuing me for a while now to make some heart changes to set me free from some very heavy burdens. I can now say, fully honestly, that I finally have an intimate understanding of Galatians 5:1 -
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
I woke up one morning a few weeks ago with a feeling that my burden was over, but immediately I discarded that thought and replaced it with "No, I can't do this and I can't do that because of 'this burden'". And just as immediately, I heard a Voice say "That's not true. You're free." I was SHOCKED!!! So I said "Ok, God, if that's true, then you're going to have to give me something to hold on to because I can't do this alone. So I opened my bible app, and the verse of the day was 1 Cor 15:57 -
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
And so I held on!!! I've held on every day since, and there have been days that have been really, really tough, and I've come up off my knees and asked "How do I do this? What do I do now?" And I'm led to simply put one foot in front of the other, literally, take one step at a time. That's walking in faith. It's the only thing I know to do.
So here we are in this new year with this new beginnings theme, and today's Verse of the Day is Isaiah 43:19 -
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Amen! He has indeed made a way out of that dry and weary wilderness and provided sweet streams to refresh from that wasteland!
Praise the Lord for this new beginning for you. I would love to follow your project and be inspired by your images and words as God leads and speaks to your heart! Happy New Year!
