High Cup Nick on the Pennines

The dip in the fells slightly off centre to the right is know as High Cup. The market town of Appleby is nestled at the base of the fells, just above the trees and to the left of High Cup Nick. I am trying to improve my landscape photograph so if you have any tips or advise please comment.
Nice scene and story, Shirley. Beautiful landscape!

Lovely landscape shot. The article on the rule of thirds is great. It also helps to have something in the foreground (a couple of brances for example) to give your shot more depth.
