Harvest time. by shirleybankfarm

Harvest time.

We actually got a start to combine our barley today. It has been very late to ripen this year, possibly 3-4 weeks behind. I think this has been because a cold summer without a lot of sun. This is quite a hazy picture because I was shooting into the sun and it was late afternoon.
Looks to have been a beautiful day! I love the neat look of a cut field as well as the smell!

You must be relieved to get started on the harvest. Super scenic shot of this busy time on the farm.

Lovely landscape, with the hills in the background and the golden barley in the foreground.

Beautiful shot. The layered landscape is gorgeous in the early morning lighting. The crops are affected by the vagaries of the weather :)

Nice capture. Nothing left to harvest around here - even the beans are in!

Beautiful landscape. There was a golden barley field just in front of our house a few years ago. Enjoyed it!

That is a big machine but then you need it for a field that size!
