What month is it? by shirleybankfarm

What month is it?

Have I been asleep and woken up in April? Both these flowers are in full flower in pots, (not in a sheltered position) in my garden. Usually they flower in April/May. My snowdrops have just started to come into flower.
Something very strange happened here today. A very bright light appeared in the sky and stay there for about 3 hours - somebody told me it was the sun :) Now we have the wind howling and the window covered by rain drops again.

They look beautiful, Shirley. No sign of winter in Cumbria.
Rainy day here and yes, the wind is howling here too.

It's unbelievable, isn't it? Don't know what will be in flower in spring. Love your capture though - fav Shirley.

Spring is just around the corner I am sure. Lovely shot.
My sister lives in the UK and I hope she managed to see the sun too, she hates winter.

A nice collage. Whilst I was watching the birds yesterday, I noticed the first flower on the cherry tree! Usually blossoming in March or April. Crazy. I think this weather will have an knock on effect throughout the year - nothing will be pollinated if flowers appear too soon and there aren't insects around!

@roachling Thank you Louise, I had not thought about the pollinating of the flowers.
