Appleby-in-/Westmorland station

Had my cousin to take back to the station today. She has been staying the week with me. This is where the steam trains fill up with water at Appleby railway station. Appleby is a lovely little station which is one of the stops on the Carlisle to Settle line. It regularly gets steam trains passing through and stopping during the summer. The other day the Flying Scotsman was in the station, unfortunately I was unable to go and see it.
Beautiful capture of this functioning watering point. Certainly a thing of the past here in Australia.

@tonydebont thanks Tony. There aren't many stations with watering points in this country. This one is here because the Carlisle to Settle line is a very touristy, scenic rout and quite regularly runs steam trains on it.

Interesting shot.
I remember Appleby Railway Station from when we took our kids on a steam train journey several years ago. First & only time I had been to Carlisle...... lovely family memories.
