Dancing in the sun

After a hard freeze last night (23 degrees) I found this beautiful tree seemingly unscathed by the bitter cold. I thought I'd take its picture to celebrate its endurance.
I think most of the flowers did ok. I went around photographing some and they didn't seem any worse for wear. I think we'll see a warming trend again. This is a beautiful shot. The blue sky is stunning.

Thank you very much Monica!! The sky was cloudless and the polarizing filter deepened it nicely,
All the poor magnolias in this area were wiped out. Every tree I saw, the blossoms were brown today. They must be pretty sensitive to cold.

Great contrast between the white flowers and super blue sky.

Thank you Diane!! It is amazing how well a polarizing filter works when the sun is in the right part of the sky in a photograph.
