I had returned to the park to get some shots of the apple blossoms that I saw earlier. I saw some chickadees flitting around the blossoms and as I tried to get a shot of them I heard a bird call behind me that I didn't recognize. When I turned I saw a slight blue color of this bird and took two pictures zoomed all the way in. I took a couple steps toward him in hopes of filling the frame, but he took off.
@travelingcamper - Thank you Lorena!! I think if I want to be a serious bird photographer I will need to purchase a longer lens and as you said, acquire more patience!! I had seen a pair of bluebirds in the area at other times, I wasn't prepared when I came across this one.
