I got the opportunity to take a local high school girls softball team to an away game. So, I thought I'd take my camera and try my hand at shooting a sporting event. I took 64 photographs overall. This had the most action of all.
@johnnyfrs - Thank you John! I knew it looked good on the small camera screen and crossed my fingers it would look that sharp on the monitor when I got home.
@binski - Thank you Robin!! I used shutter priority and set the shutter speed to (1/640) to stop action and the ISO to 800 in hopes that the aperture opening (which is set by the camera) is small enough to allow a decent DOF. In this case it was f/9.
