My camera club had a portrait photographer come in and give us some tips on portraiture. He provided the background and lights. However we couldn't all sync with his strobes. This was taken with room light. Our lovely model was Vicki.

Thank you for your gracious comments! Especially after my brief hiatus! I learned one thing. If I should pursue a career in portraiture I definitely will use a tripod and not act like those so-called professionals that shoot freehand. Every picture I took when Vicki was looking right at me came out blurring. I don't know if it was because I felt uneasy, even though she was doing this of her own volition and I wasn't sneaking a candid shot? But thank you again for your kind comments!
