Thank you so much for you gracious comments and fav! I was somewhat surprised that she perched for as long as she did. We attended a workshop recently on creating a garden to attract butterflies and hummingbirds and the woman that spoke about hummingbirds told us that they mostly land to nest. According to her this is because their wings are so strong and were made to fly and hover. I know they land at the feeder to eat, but usually not for very long periods of time. Normally less then a minute.
