We attended our granddaughter's annual Christmas Concert. We enjoyed the Middle School Band, The Jazz Ensemble, and the High School Concert Band.
Our granddaughter, for this piece, is playing the xylophone. This is her first year on the high school Concert Band. I didn't take very many pictures as we were seated and wouldn't you know it, a tall man decided to sit in front of me.
@randystreat - It's one of the many instruments they must play in the band as a percussionist. In the marching band, she plays a bass drum. In the concert band, the percussionists switch instruments, while the wind and string instruments don't. Behind her, you can see the tubes on a marimba which plays like a xylophone but has softer tones.
