Testing - New Life Baptist Church's Summer Festival . . . Take 2
I am uploading this as a PNG file to compare it with a JPG file.
I noticed a difference in the blues (deeper) and the red/orange (brighter) colors. Therefore I think I'll upload png's from now on
JPG from yesterday: http://365project.org/skipt07/365/2013-08-11
@cdonohoue - Sometime ago I took a Web Master course and the instructor told us that he thought jpg's were on the way out. One of the reasons he mentioned was because every time you work with a jpg file and save it, it loses information. One of the files he mentioned as possibly taking its place was a png that is called a "ping". I thought about working primarily in RAW and save my files when finished as a psd which is a PhotoShop Document. But, 365 won't accept a psd so I tried the png. I compared it to the jpg file I uploaded yesterday and I like the brighter colors displayed by the png over the jpg.
@mittens - Thank you for the "Wow" Marylin! I am glad I could be educational!
Interesting information. I usually keep my photos as psd files and then convert to jpeg when I want to load them to a site like this but I've never tried using a png...something to give a try for sure.
@gardencat - I posted both so others could compare for themselves. I bought a monitor calibrator last year and I can see a difference between the two on my monitor and on the website.
I know nothing about different files.
@kerristephens - Thank you Kerri!
