It seems to me that Blue Jays are normally bullies. They make a lot of noise and when they show up at feeders the other birds tend to back away. Today, surprisingly, the three jays that appeared would go to the feeder, grab a sunflower seed and then go to a branch and eat the seed. Then go back an get another one. What a pleasant surprise!
