@judithdeacon - It was very luxurious. They also had two open cars where you could feel the wind blowing through your hair and smell the smoke of the engine. The lounge cars were more expense and the dining car a little less. They have a very small menu of drinks and snacks. Prices are high, but it does go to keep the train in this kind of condition. I have been on three train rides in my life. This one, one when I was a kid from Pa to Ohio and when I was sworn into the military. I rode a train from Pittsburgh, Pa to Trenton, NJ. I've never done an AMTRAK. That looks like it could be fun.
@mittens - This was the second to the last car. The last one I believe was all lounge, and this was a combination.
@kwind - Oh very much so. I only wish the ride could have been longer.
@dmdfday - The top speed for this train ride was about 20 mph which gives you more than enough time to enjoy the scenery as it passes by your window,
@paulam - It was very much.
@joansmor - They didn't seem to skimp on cost when they picked this chairs.
@seattlite - Thank you Gloria!
@danette - It certainly was. We had the chance to experience what it would be like to be Daddy Warbucks!
