Took the opportunity to pop into Swindon's Steam Museum and take some shots as my better half wanted to do some shopping. Swindon is on the Great Western Railway and was a major producer of Steam Engines until the sixties. Even though I work in the railway industry, trains don't really do it for me, but there's no doubting the beauty of a steam engine.
Lighting was a real problem, and without a tripod, I ended up having to take this wide-open and handheld. It's not perfect, but it was my favourite shot of the day.
I think this is great!!! I really like the POV you chose. We have a train museum here. My son loves it, of course, and I always want to take photos there. I just never seem to get an interesting perspective.
@cmc1200 Know what you mean, Caryn, I found that there's lots of large objects and not much room to move back into! Thanks for the encouragement, though!
