My theme for the week is classic automobiles. In the foreground is a mid-80's slant nose 930 Turbo. Behind it is a GT3R. For Porschephiles, this is about as good as it gets. Shot at the car show and processed this morning.
@kellc Thanks, Kelly - I love vivid, saturated colors and try to make them part of my photographic style. For this shoot, I actually took the saturation down by one notch from where I usually set it.
@simon0128 Thank you, Simon. The 930 was one of my two "dream" cars in the mid-1980's (the other being the Ferrari Testarossa). I still like them both today as much as I did when they were new!
@soboy5 My dream car has always been an AC Cobra, i seen an old advert for this car and the sales man would pin a fifty dollar bill to the screen and said if you could grab the fifty dollar its yours. But he would floor it!!
@simon0128 I love Shelby Cobras, got to drive one once that was owned by Edsel Ford! Brutally fast automobiles. There were quite a few replicas at the show, but no real ones. My friend in high school had a SS396 Chevelle and he used to win money all the time playing the game that salesman played in the advertisement you mentioned!
@simon0128 If you ever get the chance, you really should. I was very fortunate to have been given the opportunity and it was quite the experience! They are scary fast.
@debbim Thanks, Debbi - I went through 5 different crops on this one before I got one I liked enough to post, I came very close to deleting the entire set. Glad I kept this one!
