I took another motorcycle ride to the farmhouse a few days ago. Not much has changed since April except the trees have leafed out a lot. This was taken as a b&w in-camera, not processed from color.
@sabine Thanks, Sabine. I also am drawn to this old, neglected and abandoned farmhouse. I think of what life was like back when a family lived here and worked the farm in days gone by.
@simon0128 Thank you, Simon. I also love old wooden barns and farmhouses.
@rwhite Thanks, Rosie. I think it was a very nice house a long time ago. And a gorgeous farm, absolutely beautiful piece of land. Quite a shame it has fallen into such a state of disrepair. I will continue to chronicle its return into oblivion for my project from time to time.
@debbim Thanks, Debbi. I like shooting in-camera b&w with my LX-3 as it has three b&w settings - normal, dynamic and smooth. This is normal. Tomorrow's project entry is a close-up of the broken window, shot in dynamic b&w. I prefer dynamic to the other two but this one came out nicer than I expected!
Beautiful b&w capture of this intriguing farmhouse :-) It's such a shame it's been left to go to rack and ruin, as it must have been lovely at one time. I'll have to try using the in camera b&w.....I forget it's there :-)
@allisonrap Thank you, Allison! Tomorrow will be a close-up of the farmhouse window, shot in dynamic b&w which increases the contrast a bit. I really enjoy b&w and need to shoot it more often!
@orangecrush Thanks, Jerry. It needs a lot of love, the place is falling apart! @sjodell Thank you, Sarah! Lots and lots of TLC needed here, I only photograph its good side - the other side is caving in rapidly.
