Fred is my 11 year old cat. I have had him since he was a little kitten and he is the sweetest, most gentle cat. His best friend is my 120 pound dog. This is a natural light shot, as Fred was napping in a dark room while a small ray of sunlight partially lit his face. This photo definitely tested the dynamic range of the Nikon.
Beautiful capture in that light. I had a cat named Fred once, and also a dog called Timothy Frederick St John Rover. (I added Rover because I thought the other names might be considered a tad ostentations.)
@marieooi Thanks, Marie - I am searching for interesting lighting and found it with this image - it was challenging to get the exposure correct on this capture of Fred!
@stuckinoz Thank you, Janelle. And yes, exposure was very tricky on this one, I was amazed it turned out as well as it did. I like tricky lighting situations, they produce interesting images (when I get it right).
@nikkic Thanks, Nikki. I am always searching for amazing light. I don't always find it and even if I do find it, images don't always work out, but I like this one.
