Veronica and I just returned home from a glorious week in Tulum, Mexico. We stayed in the part of Tulum that is completely off the grid, each small cabana or hotel has to generate their own electricity and the infrastructure is very basic or non-existent. As a result, it is an uncrowded, zen-like beach, bordered by the Mayan ruins to the north and a gigantic nature preserve to the south. A truly magnificent place to relax, meditate, enjoy nature and unwind. Our room was directly on the beach, and our views were incredible. The entire week was like one non-stop Corona beer beach commercial!
Tulum is famous for its sunrises. When we stayed in Tulum in December, I was blown away by each day's magnificent sunrise. In June, the sunrises were not as spectacular as in December, but this one was pretty darn nice. This is the first image I have processed from Tulum and it was taken 15 minutes before sunrise, shot from the upstairs sun deck of our room.
@lyno Yeah, I am the world traveler these days - lol! Glad you like the sunrise, it was a very pretty one. @boogie Thank you, Mags! My girlfriend missed every sunrise as she would not wake up that early! But I am an early riser so I captured all of them!
Ah...I remember seeing some beautiful sunrises like that in Cozumel. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of such a wonderful time we had in Mexico when we were there last
@anazad511 Thanks so much, Tulum is a magical place! @peadar Thanks, Peter. @jdr4690 Thank you for the nice compliment and for the fav, Rob - that means a lot to me! @jcarrollphoto Thanks, Jim!
WOW again, Danny. I love this place, but since I'm not a sunrise person, I'm hoping you'll share with us a few sunsets, too. Another fav for me. The clouds really pop in this shot.
@sandier Thanks So much for the nice comments and for the fav, Sandie!. The Tulum sunsets were much prettier in December than they were last week. I will share some of the December sunsets on my project to show you what I mean - they were awe-inspiring!
