Columbus Day Parade by soboy5

Columbus Day Parade

Remember a few days ago when I told you Fifth Avenue was closed North of 42nd Street? Here is the reason - a parade! Until I saw the parade, I didn't realize that I was in Manhattan on Columbus Day - we don't celebrate that holiday in Georgia. In all the years I lived in NYC, I never saw a parade. And now I finally got to see one! This image was taken at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street.

Best seen large, if you have the time...

I watched the parade for a while, then decided to head over to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.
Everyone loves a marching band
