Blood Mountain is majestic and zen but the origins of its name are caustic. There was a horrific battle for control of this land between the Cherokee and Creek Indian tribes. It is said the streams ran red from all the bloodshed. Hence, its name.
I arrived home late last night from the beach. It was a great trip and I will take a look at the images I took there today and post some of them starting tomorrow.
