Like a bird on the wire by sourkraut

Like a bird on the wire

You'd think from the looks of it that this is a nice, picturesque park overlooking the river and Philadelphia. Unfortunately, because it's located in New Jersey, the scenery is accompanied by a noxious odor of chemicals and pollution spewed into the air by the nearby manufacturing facilities and oil refinery. This poor bird probably doesn't have long to live after breathing in that stuff.
I have had the joy and fear of having to drive around the port on the other side. It is like taking my life in my own hands when the trucks start moving.

I had to laugh on your post and the future of the bird, and the weird part, it is not even funny, but the way you wrote it is.
You made a awesomely composed photo!

All these blues are great. I love how it's centered right above the peak of the bridge. Too bad it won't live long from the pollution...

That looks so beautiful! I'd wear a gas mask and set outside for photos anyways! :) You composed it perfectly and did you edit the sun out? Can't make sense how you got this awesome light here.

Great shot. I love the glowy area in the middle.

Thank you, everyone!

@naladka It's actually not the sun at all (that was sort of behind me and out of the shot entirely). For some reason when I messed with the levels a little that area was a bit brighter than the rest and I liked the idea of highlighting the bird a bit more so I added a gradient fill layer of white in the area of the bird. I also did one around the lamppost but I kept that one more subtle. You can sort of see a glowing aura there too.
