I like going to the marina. It's so quiet. Tomorrow will be the opposite. I'm going to the celebration parade for the Seahawks winning the Superbowl. I'm going to try getting some good portraits.
Such interesting lighting! The shadows are such that I didn't even recognize this as boats at first . . . but of course, your titles tells us they are. The sun coming through the clouds, the glare on the water . . . all add up to make a great b & w image with great light.
@jyokota I was debated on the contrast. Less contrast showed the boat better, but this higher contrast seemed to look more striking...as far as the lighting, I wish I could bring the sun inside for more of my indoor shots.
@stephomy -- I think your image works very well as it is -- the higher contrast is more striking, as you say, and especially shows off the strong light, and the glare is perfect for communicating that. I smiled at the thought of bringing the sun inside for indoor shots because at present, I don't have a flash at all!
