I have found a great book online all about my camera and I am taking it a step at a time and trying to learn what all the little buttons are for. It is very hard to learn so much at such an advanced age but I am determined. So - I went around the house taking pictures of lots of stupid things. This one is my palm tree that has come inside for the winter - with a red Christmas pillow behind it.
What a fun photo, Suzie. When I looked at the thumbnail I thought it was wrapping paper. One of my motivations for doing this project was to learn my camera. I'm enjoying the challenge.
I love this! That's definitely the best way to learn what everything does... read up on it and then just keep shooting. It doesn't matter if you're shooting silly subjects... I actually think that it helps to be shooting something you don't care so much about, because then you're not afraid to make mistakes. Have fun playing around and learning!
That is a wonderful effect, and you are doing exactly what I need to do. I lost my camera manual a couple months after I bought it, and I really need to learn how to take full advantage of what it has to offer.
Great idea Suzie. I need to get a book for my new camera, but I need to get my new camera first. :) Phil keeps wanting to get me one but I keep saying to wait til... will we ever have more money???
