Snow Drifts

My travels took me to New York where a significant amount of snow had fallen (and subsequently delayed my arrival). To this California boy, the opportunity to see and photograph snow is somewhat of a treat - believe it or not!

Apologies in advance - I am way behind on commenting and responding to your comments. I'm trying!!
Wonderful capture Ron, super lighting creating the highlights and shadows defining shape and texture:)

Wow! Those are some serious mounts of snow! The light and shadows have created a rather artistic image.

This is so simplistic, it's an artistic offering! Lovely, Ron, and, like you, I wouldn't object to 3-4 days to go photograph snow...but that's about it!

Did they bury Dolly Parton? Is this the B&W shot you have when you are not having a B&W shot? Nice pic Ron

@pcoulson @lyndemc @Weezilou @kauaikris Thank you for the comments. I have to admit that Lightroom/Adobe Camera Raw, one of those I believe, helped immensely in this presentation. Also cropping - the buildings and equipment adjacent to these mounds were quite industrial. For all I know these lumps could be hiding dead bodies. It is New York, after all.

@terryliv LOL! Dolly Parton and a few of her friends. :-) Yeah, blank and white is living color. I'd be unhappy if I had purchased Ektachrome and used it on this.

@simta Это было на самом деле рядом с церковью, за забором и между двумя зданиями. Накануне выпал снег. Кажется, это не сильно путешествовал области. Лаки для меня!

I'm a California boy too so I've never seen snow cover the ground with my own eyes. It must be remarkable to see so much snow!
