....without helicopters blocking that shot over the water. :-( We had some excitement during the Saturday golf outing when a fire broke out near the course on which my group was playing. A helicopter came upon our hole and a loudspeaker announced, "Attention golfers! This is the Anaheim Police Department. We are going to be landing the helicopter on the fairway. Please refrain from golfing!" We complied. They proceeded to bring in two fire fighting helicopters who decided to use the water hazard on our hole as a source for fighting the fire. Not quite the normal day on the course. This guy, in fact, took on too much water on one of his fill-ups and couldn't get sufficient lift as he began to leave. To remedy that situation he dumped the contents of the tank.......right into the sand trap in the background. I ended up with a snowman on that hole. Stupid helicopter!
Fantastic image full of drama and movement, would it be considered a photo-news, candid or action shot, possibly all three, its not what you expect to see on the golf course, thanks for the narrative just has to be Favorite Ron:)
Incredible shot, Ron. I notice that, even golfing and like a true 365er, you had your camera with you. Guess we didn't hear about this fire. I wondered where it was taken from seeing your other shot. Hope they got it out quickly.
Wow, so exciting, and equally amazing that you had your camera with you. Just shows that everyone must take their camera everywhere, as you never know when this amazing shot might come along.
...and aren't golf courses supposed to be nice quiet places? @panthora Osia's note alerted me to the fact that you weren't having as much fun that day as we were. You might take that into consideration next opportunity.
