Sunset at Huntington Pier by stray_shooter

Sunset at Huntington Pier

Yet another shot from the 365 Orange County meetup. We were treated to an amazing sunset. I broke out the wide angle lens for this one. You can see the gang posing in front of this sunset in Louise and Ken's @Weezilou album here: http://365project.org/Weezilou/album-excess/2016-01-27 and Elizabeth's @redy4et version, which is SOOC here: http://365project.org/redy4et/365/2016-01-27. Unlike Elizabeth I "doctored" the shot - but just a little!
Beautiful WIDE angle of the pier and the spectacular sunset Ron! The pier in silhouette accentuates the sky colors!

As the saying goes " red sky at night shepherds delight" and this is a delightful image, wonderful colours, patterns and composition with nice symmetry of the lighting columns leading the eye into the image, Fav, Happy Birthday Ron it's that time in life to look on these as not getting older just getting wiser:)

@Weezilou Yeah, I thought my 28mm was wide enough, but, whoa, the difference between 14mm and 28mm is massive. I don't recall what the light post question was?

Замечательно! Красивые краски!

We'd spoken of "straightening perspective" a couple of ways in RAW or using transform. Just wondered if you'd done a little of either.

Stunning capture, beautiful light, and, silhouette!!!!! Yes I have major lens envy, this is proof enough that I too need a wide angle.
February 2nd, 2016
@Weezilou Ah, OK, now I understand. Actually I didn't have to do anything regarding any transformation in this one, and now that I think about it I'm a little surprised at that! It's probably a little crooked now that I look at that part of it - just makes it more real. Maybe the influence from the Fujifilm kicked in - it has a little horizon in the EFV that really helps in those situations.
