we tried a new old diner northwest of us called "leonard's". we brought the two grands along with us and they loved it. they're always excited to try new restaurants although they order the same thing all the time. :-) my only complaint is that my mushroom omelette was a little bit on the greasy side. so when we came back home, had to hit the next door patisserie la cigogne for their to-die-for blueberry danish - the light as a feather dough, the light creamy filling and the just-a-tad sweet blueberry. i think i'm going to go later for another one. @danig and @steeler, i know you guys want to come along! who else wants to come along? it's on me!
How did i miss this....that looks yummy ,I had a craving for scones, cream and strawberry jam yesterday so Jackie baked some for tea..and as usual i ate to many.Talking about omelets one of my favourite is strawberry jam and cheese omlet.
@steeler - whoa! strawberry jam and cheese omelet? really, howard? share the recipe, please!!! and i suppose you forgot to take photos of the scones, eh? thank you, howard.
@summerfield true i should have taken a pic...for the sweet omelette mix as normal... less salt and no pepper ...then when you grease the pan we use Marge or butter as opposed to oil ..as soon as you got your base spread in your jam of choice and add cheese ,fold and when done serve as is or go over the top as my son would ...and put custard on as the topping...you'll have to serve it your grand kids sometime.
@espyetta - sure, although it may not stay fresh during the delivery. thank you, MB.
@cscecil - of course, you're going! thank you, CS.
