a cute little boy came up to me as i was taking macro shots of a ladybug.
'what are you doing?' he asked.
i said taking photos.
'of what?'
anything. stay away from this plant because they have thorns and you might get hurt. of course he stepped closer to the plant. i pointed the ladybug to him; he peered closer. i told him not to disturb the ladybug because she is eating the other bugs that destroy the plants.
why?
because if all the bad bugs win, then we won't have any vegetables to eat. he said he will eat barbeque. well, you won't have barbeque if the animal has nothing to eat, and animals eat grass and if there are no plants for the bad bugs to eat then they will eat the grass and if there's no grass then the barbeque animals would go hungry and then you (the boy) will go hungry. and if everybody is hungry there will be chaos.
what's chaos?
oh, brother, did i fall into that one? chaos is when everyone is fighting.
because they have nothing to eat?
exactly!
FABULOUS! That little bitty red ladybug just pops out at you against the green. Beautiful textures and great clarity! Love the story ... kids can sometimes say the most amazing things.
oh boy! you handled that one very nicely..great explanation...not sure if I would have been so quick to argue the bbq point...lol..and I love the ladybug!!! I can't help but think that this little boy is going to dream about bad bugs in thug masks...and good bugs in white suits..or something to that effect...lol
What a cute macro shot! The little ladybird is pretty. 8) Talking to kids can be entertaining... in a mildly frustrating sort of way. To put it mildly. 8P
omg i am totally cracking up right now!......great convo.....nice of you to at least TRY to explain the order of things to him. I always love when i try to have that kind of convo with a little one, and you think they are listening....then they point and go "OOOOOH looook! McDonalds!!"
